NightHawk Design

NightHawk Design is a full-service architectural and structural building design firm located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The firm was founded in by Rod Wiebe in 1994 and has successfully completed projects not only in Colorado, but in New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Alaska, California and Nevada as well. The Company takes a comprehensive view of the design process. The proposed project should have a realistic budget, contain design/structural parameters which suit the specific building site, and satisfies the wants and needs of the owners. During preliminary design, the NightHawk staff considers roof and floor structural systems, efficient dimensioning parameters, window placement (view corridors/furniture placement), room layout/uses, and the desires of the owners, to create floor plans and elevations for client review. Once approved by the owners, the design team proceeds onto construction documentation, complete with required drawings for building authority compliance, architectural control committee submittals, structural engineering analysis, building specifications, energy-code compliance, roof truss design review, heat-loss calculations, etc. Submission to the appropriate building authority is accomplished in a timely manner. In addition, NightHawk typically will coordinate with, or direct, professionals in other disciplines, to complete required or desired functions (soils testing, surveying, foundation engineering, site planning, other City or County submittals, landscaping design, etc.).

During construction, NightHawk typically continues performing vital functions; working with the builder, their subcontractors, and building inspectors, and providing experienced opinion and coordination required to successfully complete the project.
